I don’t know if this is the kind of material you wanted to read… but I figured it might be a good thing to attempt to prove to my readers that I definitely do try to ‘walk my talk’. For those of you that don’t understand that terminology – Yes, I do everything that I ask you to do – so there’s no “do as I say, don’t do as I do” about my approach to your health, wellbeing and fitness.
This blog is a chance to introduce what I will be going through over the next eight to ten weeks and unless I have a considerable back lash against the content, then you should be able to follow my experiences online. Currently I have no idea of how graphic they might turn out to be. So what am I doing? Detoxing.
The second part of my Advanced level two course for Metabolic Typing is to learn all about detoxification using a variety of tools to help me detox myself. The one I’m most looking forward to sharing with you will be the coffee enema. Yup, most of you will know that I haven’t physically taken coffee orally for about 3 years now – not once, and now for the purpose of qualification, I have to stick it where the sun don’t shine for health benefits! Bet you can’t wait to read about that…
So what is detoxification? It’s a means by which the body releases toxins and heavy metals from the body cells in order to relax the stress or physiological load on the body – to prevent poor health. The presence of toxic and heavy metals in the body is inhibiting for the body and it’s processes. I have worked with many people over the years who have experienced a healing crisis and have quit on my advice because they weren’t expecting to detox so quickly and it can be a shock to the system. When you heal yourself, your body releases toxicity and it can worsen your symptoms for a time. Medication doesn’t cause a healing crisis because the toxins can remain in the cells – you simply feel artificially better.
What about celebrity detox? Oh yes, a bit of sugar (maple syrup), a few vitamins, a dodgy urine looking colour and a big celebrity smile on the label. Suffice to say I won’t be doing anything like that, rather I will keep up my optimal food diet – which on it’s own is enough to produce detoxification as good nutrition displaces toxic minerals with good healthy minerals in the cells – no going hungry and feeling weak.
With each detox, I’ll outline the benefits for you and what is expected. So if you have the good fortune to work with me over the next ten weeks you’ll be able to witness first hand if it’s doing me any good or not!!!
