You want tips? On health? Why? How do you know that I’m going to give you the right answers? Margarine is healthy, polyunsaturated fats save lives, take omega 3 oils for a healthier living, saturated fat kills and cholesterol needs to be lowered, drink Benecol to achieve it. Do a celebrity detox and lose weight over night, buy an ab roller for the ultimate six pack in 6 days. Drink semi skimmed milk and eat like the Mediterranean folk do. Use sweeteners instead of sugar, because sugar is fattening, choose slim line, diet and low fat products so you don’t get fatter. Go to a gym and run, cycle, cross train – you’ve got to get that weight down. Take sleeping tablets, have a cortisone injection and while you’re at it we’ll give you some antibiotics to feed all the fungus in your body and really try to kill you off – early!
All of the above are pointers for better health in a modern society. But where has it got us?
Have you tried all of these and still struggle to lose weight, feel fresh on awakening, avoid illness or symptoms. Do you have any symptoms whatsoever? What about aches and pains? Menstrual problems? Finding it hard to conceive? Menopausal problems, osteoporosis, thyroid dysfunction, constantly tired or lacking in energy? Poor memory? No motivation? Lack ambition? While it might seem strange all of these are symptoms of our modern society. Our media and television control our thoughts and ultimately our lives: when was the last time you experienced a truly free thought? With no presupposed belief or command implanted therein?
You want tips? I’ll give you tips. Take all of the advice you’ve ever heard about health and flip it on it’s head. If they say do it; don’t. The reason I don’t give tips or advice is because people will think I’m crackers. I stopped eating polyunsaturated fats and oils some time ago – so called essential fats/oils, but instead of experiencing problems by eliminating ESSENTIAL oils, my health took a dramatic turn for the better – and I was regarded as healthy! I learned that polyunsaturated fats and oils are immuno-suppressive which means they suppress the immune system. THEY MAKE YOU ILL. Other people I have worked with, have experienced dramatic improvements in their health by eliminating polyunsaturated fats from their diet, and the improvement was noticeable in days. The trick is to replace polyunsaturated fats with good high quality saturated fats with no fear of cholesterol problems because my tip to you on that is that the cholesterol myth is exactly that – a myth. Heart attacks occur in people with high cholesterol, low cholesterol, low fat and high fat diets, suggesting that cholesterol and diet are barely related. FACT: 74% of an arterial blockage is polyunsaturated fat – not saturated fat! Saturated fat is crucial to our development as children and the function of many of our bodily systems – nervous system, hormonal system, digestive system. To not have saturated fat in our system is incredibly stressful and hard wearing on our bodies. This internal stress disrupts our systems and we struggle to eliminate the toxins as we become more and more exhausted within. Our adrenal system is unable to fight the contamination of unnatural foods and our bodies get more and more toxic. Another tip? You DO need to detoxify your body or you will die sooner than you wish… and no I don’t mean celebrity detoxes. Detoxification should be monitored carefully and professionally by someone who understands the requirements of detoxification. Coffee enema’s are a great place to start as well as liver and gall bladder cleanses and cell alkalinising procedures. A less toxic system with the right fuel provided will become healthy very quickly. Your body is designed to heal you from within – you just have to give it the tools to do it and change your repetitive, habitual, learned destructive processes.
Continuing the nutrition jibe… low fat, slimline and reduced anything products deprive your body of valuable sugars and fats too. Diet coke outsells full fat coke now and is full of aspartame, a well documented poison that is in a scary amount of our foodstuffs and products such as toothpaste. All sweeteners with the exception of xylitol fall into this category. Skimmed milk brings no benefits to the body – the human body recognises milk as milk - not something that resembles milk. When we take anything away from something, we reduce it’s wholeness. Our DNA recognises food stuffs in an evolutionary way, for thousands of years we have drunk milk in it’s fullest form. It is this full form that the body recognises and benefits from.
Menopausal, menstrual and hormonal problems also should not present us with a problem. Think about it? Many people think God is a woman… do you think she would design you to experience monthly discomfort for forty years and expect you to live the rest of your life with hot flashes and hormonal problems?? NO! If you have problems like this it is a sure fire sign that you need to address your health. Periods should be quick, easy and painless – you should barely notice. You have pain because you are doing what you think is healthy but ultimately is not. Cut out the PUFAs, raise your saturated fat intake, sleep more, drink more water, eat offal and seafood (not together) and stop rushing around for somebody else. Osteoporosis – your body does not have the right nutrition to achieve daily function, so it’s taking it from your bones. Constipation – your body doesn’t have the right levels of hydration, so it’s getting it from your stool. IBS/Diverticulitis – you have simply eaten the wrong foods and provided the wrong nutrition for your body for long enough to become a daily problem, your stress levels and self belief may also be a major issue here.
More tips? Going to the gym: Running, cycling and cross training will help you to lose weight but if your fuel intake isn’t right and you are in a state of exhaustion then you will continue to remain fat (percentage wise) despite watching the number on the scales fall. When you work out like this you are burning muscle and not fat. Since muscle is your functional tissue, this is totally harmful to your wellbeing and has major implications for your long term health.
My tips to you are this… give yourself optimum nutrition for you, avoiding, completely, polyunsaturated fats and begin to purchase high quality grass raised meats and saturated fats. Use the bones to make stocks and access the gelatine and collagen. Get plenty of natural sugars from fruit and bright coloured vegetables. Drink plenty of water, avoid drinks that dehydrate you. Get a minimum of 8 hours sleep a night and take time out in your day to breathe, deep diaphragmatic breaths and relax, issuing calming thoughts and a positive outlook. The society we live in is by it’s very nature not relaxing. Our bodies need equal amounts of stress and relaxation to balance the complexities of it. Too much stress will generate health problems, too much relaxation can have detrimental effects too. In my experience, you’ll struggle to have too much so any you do get will be hugely beneficial. A stressed body is a deteriorating body. So do something about it. I can help you of course.
